MALAYER - REPRODUCTION
Malayer lies between Luristan and Kurdistan. Many Malayer rugs have flower, ornamental or geometric designs, often with very rich colours.
Original Malayer rugs, in this particular design, are hard to come by today, and if they are found, they often fall into the Antique category. In order to make this design more easily accessible, they are now being reproduced by talented weavers in Iran, using organic wool and vegetable dyes.
