MALAYER
Malayer is a city in Iran, located within the province of Hamadan. Local weavers traditionally produced a wide range of traditional patterns from all-over motifs to lozenge-shaped medallions. They also focus on beautiful detailed borders.
Antique rugs from the Malayer region constitute an important and distinctive group of Persian weavings. They are known for the quality of the weave, design and wool, and are some of the most artistic and beautiful antique Persian rugs, with finer and more refined artistic patterns.
