The Lors and Baktiars are two Persian tribal groups that migrate in the Zagros region, north of the Fars tribes. They produce both rugs and flat-woven items. Rugs from the Fars region are known for their vibrant geometric patterns featuring people and small familiar animals. Additionally, pictorial rugs depicting lions are crafted to honor tribal leaders. For Shiraz and Qashqai rugs, the materials typically used include wool for the warp, cotton or wool for the weft, and wool for the pile.
