A Persian Sarouq rug is a from the Markazi Province in Iran. Saruq rugs are woven in the village of Saruq and also in the city of Arak and surrounding countryside.
They are know for their brilliant quality - lasting decades of wear. This is what makes them among the bestselling of all Persian rugs. They are made from a tough wool, using a Persian knot. They mostly come in traditional floral designs.
